I knew I had to leave my abusive marriage, but I also knew that divorcing him might be even harder than staying.

I was right. Once we separated,  the abuse escalated. Threatening texts, lies, and manipulative games aimed at turning my son against me.  I felt like I was under siege, bombarded by my ex’s relentless attacks and powerless to shield my child.

Thrown into the chaos of the family court system, I was completely unprepared—like I’d been tossed onto an NFL field without a helmet, getting tackled from every direction. I made mistakes, painful ones. But I refused to give up.

I figured out the rules of the game. I developed a strategy. And I won.

I walked away with primary parenting time, sole decision-making for my son, and a financial settlement that secured our future.
